My name is Andrea Curzi, and my life is an incessant exploration of the world through the lens of my camera. I was born in the wonderful Marche in 1985, but I feel that my true place of residence is under the starry sky. 2017 was a year that profoundly marked my life and gave rise to a passion that I would cultivate with fervor: photography. It was during an unforgettable trip to America that this passion was born and took root in my heart. I vividly remember the moment when, immersed in the vastness and diversity of the Californian landscape, I realized how fascinating it could be to capture the magic of sunrises and sunsets through the lens of my camera. But it was in 2018, after a magical night spent in Castelluccio di Norcia, that my story with night photography came to life, discovering something that would change the course of my passion. It was precisely on that night, under the sky of Castelluccio, that the Milky Way revealed itself to my eyes for the first time in all its grandeur, and it was love at first sight. From that moment on, nights spent capturing the Milky Way became an integral part of my life. I have dedicated dozens and dozens of nights to capturing the majesty of our galaxy, always seeking new places and perspectives to tell its story in a unique way. The nights spent alone in a tent, with only the sound of the wind and the click of my camera, transformed my passion into a silent dialogue with the cosmos. The Milky Way has become my muse, the source of inspiration that fuels my constant search for beauty in the night. My backpack and my tent are faithful companions on my travels. Sleeping outdoors allows me to be in tune with nature, to breathe fresh air and to wake up with the light of dawn or under a starry sky. Each tent is a temporary refuge as I explore new horizons and try to capture the beauty of the world around me. My passion for night photography took me to unforgettable places and made me discover the incredible beauty of the Milky Way, our starry avenue in the vastness of the universe. It introduced me to the Northern Lights, it was like immersing myself in a living painting, with the colors dancing in the Icelandic night sky. It introduced me to the strength of the earth in turmoil, the fire that is released in the night, during the 2023 eruption also in Iceland. Now my life is a constant balance between the light of day and the magic of the night, between the frenzy of the city and the tranquility of the wild nature. Night photography and travel connect me to the world in unique ways, allowing me to communicate my vision and share the beauty I find in every corner of this planet.
